Un-birthday Topsy Turvey

Here is our first topsy turvey. It was a lot of fun to make. Here is the concept and the actual. We ended up making a fourth layer. The teirs are 10", 8", 6" and the cupcake on top is 3". The dark blue bow broke during transportation, so we took the light one in back and swaped them. It ended up looking just fine. It was a Alice in Wonderland inspired Unbirthday Mad Hatter themed party. They wanted the colors to be red, yellow and blue. It looks like a Disney Princess cake. It was about 3 feet tall.

30th Birthday...of course. Would have looked MUCH better in fondant but the client really wanted buttercream.

Here are the cakes, Shell. I don't have one of the pink square hores cake with brown and pink flowers and brown piping and I don't have one of the Thanksgiving cupcakes either. Sorry. Here's the skateboard cake and Steven's....and my own birthday cake. I didn't make it. Jacob did. I just threw some store-bought frosting on it and threw some extra fondant flowers on top. The skateboard cake was kinda sloppy. The blue on top is not the right shape. The "O" in the name "Owie" is actually a popular skateboard brand logo from Element Skateboards. It looked a lot better in person. Jacob make the cake board out of MDF so that you could see underneath it. The wheels are fondant.
